This book should be a 5 star... I just don't like a guy's POV. :P Otherwise, a 5 star really. I like reading books with a female as the protagonist and I sort of tolerate books that switch POVs if the story is that good... For me to read the whole book with a male POV! OMG... it's that good!

Hahaha! Thank you JD for this book. I've become quite rotten for a few days because my itch for a good book wasn't getting scratched. Consider it abated. I didn't like that Mira is so hung up on this guy and that he is such a prick and I read somewhere that there will be more of him here. SO, I decided to delay it, let that annoying feeling go away and read this book with a cleaner slightly fresher plate.

Ok ok... for those who are planning to read this book, beware! This book is not in Mira's POV. Hehe, silly me. I was half hoping the whole time that the next chapter will be in Mira's POV. :P Don't bother waiting, it's all him till the end. Another warning, it ends in a cliff hanger, but not such a bad cliff hanger. :) Just, "WTF" but you'll live.

What I really liked about this book is seeing Mira outside of Mira. I know I've mentioned this in previous Dark Days books, but she reminds me of a female Jean Claude of Anita Balake Vampire Hunder series. Since the POV of this book in in the Vampire Hunter's it really reminded me of the good old days of the ABVH series (before it became erotica yuck). Pretty sure JD didn't intend it to mirror that series and she would probably be insulted if this reached her. But it's just my personal findings and it's meant as a compliment. :) I like the tension between those two before it went yuck.

at first I thought I got the wrong book. The point of view is Danaus. Some sort of hint would have been nice. It was too weird to have his point of view this far into the series when everything else has revolved around Mira.

this book really messed with me . It is written from Danaus' point of view. Even at the end I kept having to remind myself it was Danaus speaking not Mira. I like the writing better from Mira's POV. The story just seems to flow better when written that way. That being said, I still loved the story and enjoyed seeing things through Danaus' eyes. ...more
