In some ways, I was more pleased with Demon Hunts than I was with the previous installment.
A huge part of that is Gary. Making his first appearance rather early on and sticking around for most of the action, Gary brings enthusiasm to the story. As Joanne says, “Gary was my own personal cheer-o-meter,” and I echo the sentiment. I seem to forgive many things as long as he’s on hand to amuse me and support Joanne.

CE Murphy has finally gotten me fully hooked on her Urban Shaman with this and the previous novel. I really enjoyed the central mystery with this one and feel that Jo is finally starting to learn about and accept her powers. The return of Coyote was great and Gary was awesome as always. I can't wait for the next one!
