I hate it when a really good series decides to say goodbye.

But at least this one went out strong. Our heroine Kitty Norville, werewolf, grew over the 14 books into a capable strong Regina Luporum. A radio talkshow host - The Midnight Hour - where she gave a voice to the supernatural and got to stir up trouble on a regular basis.

And so it comes to an end. I have gone through a lot of ups and downs with the Kitty Norville series, and I admit that I skipped the previous book in this series as it was about Cormac. This one and Low Midnight, help make up for the lackluster (IMO) books 11 and 12.
A few things kept this from being a 5 star read for me. The first was the lack of page time for Kitty's pack. T

Since Kitty's pronouncement of Dux Bellorum's Long Game last year, she's beginning to think Roman's after more than just world domination and she's determined to continue doing whatever she can to stop him and his allies.

For this, she needs some allies of her own and they all gather together in this one final showdown to save the world. Ben and Cormac/Amelia are always by her side. Friends from past installments join the ranks - Tina McCannon, psychic on TV show Paradox PI; Detective Jessi Hardi

Terrible. Way to go for the low-hanging fruit! Would people whose imaginations have run out please stop resorting to using angels and devils to end their series?? Please?? Thank you.
