I liked the premise of the book. The characters seemed fun. My main issue with the book is the conversation between the main characters! The conversations went on a little too long to the point where I was constantly thinking, "would you all get to the point already?"

Everything except the magic (which is almost too subdued) is over the top.
What I enjoyed:
* I like the idea of a magical family that is close and lives in a town that has re-branded itself as a tourist destination for witches
* I really liked Chief Terry
* Bay's interaction with the ghosts was a nice touch, although I think she could have done more for Edith
What could have been better:
* Aunt Tillie is annoying and mean, not eccentric
* The bickering is over the top and too many pages are wasted on i ...more
