What Members Thought

I’m upping it one more star just because it is just as re-readable as the original series. Yes, this book is not as perfect as Nevada and Rogan’s but it’s still better urban fantasy than 99% out there! 😊

It is 3 years later and Catalina in now head of House Baylor, they are about to lose the protection given to newly formed houses and she has to decide whether or not to help Runa.
What I enjoyed:
* I love the Baylors, so I'm always happy to read more. I actually wish the rest of the family had been a bit more involved in this story.
* Catalina is learning to ropes and keeping to their rules when she agrees to help Runa find out who killed her mother and sister. Which of course unravels into a much ...more

I enjoyed this book tremendously.
I'm having a great year in books.
I was a bit worried about moving from Nevada to Catalina as the main character, Diamond Fire gave me not only hope but expectations about this book, and it does not disappoint.
Catalina has everything that is good about Nevada and none of the bits that are, as much as I love her, annoying about Nevada. Catalina is thoughtful and careful, emphatic to the n-th degree, used to look at the world from the outside due to her incapacity ...more

I was swimming through the warm water of the Gulf when someone knocked on the sky.
Catalina Baylor is awakened in the middle of the night to rescue a suicidal prime. Being the head of the Baylor House is a tremendous task for a 21 year old. She discovers that another house has been attacked, leaving two burned bodies. The surviving children become clients of Baylor investigations.

I’ve been a fan of this amazing wife and husband duo for very long time, they got me with Kate Daniels and sucked me in even more with the Edge and Innkeeper series. However, The Hidden Legacy series is a beast on its own that has grasped me by its talons and I feel will never let me go.
Hidden Legacy is one of the few series in my life that I have re-read more than once and just know I will be doing it again at least once a year.

Catalina and Alessandro
She is now the Head of the House Baylor so she decides for the family. When a woman and her daughter are killed her daughter comes and asks Baylor House to investigate.
Catalina finds out that the second corpse isn’t the daughter everyone assumed dies with her mother and the hunt starts for who took her and where. During an interview Catalina find Alessandro is there and it seems they’re hunting for the same person.
Very, edge of your seat action. Catalina maybe young but ...more

Ilona Andrews is still one of my favorite author teams.
I love being back with these great characters and the Baylor family. I'm so happy that we get to hear Catalina's story and it didn't disappoint, the only thing that I'm sad about is that I finished this in one setting so will have to wait some time for the next one.
I look forward to reading more about Catalina/Alessandro but would love books about all the other characters as well, I can't seem to get enough ;) ...more
