Let me start by saying I love Suzanne Wright, I think she writes amazing books and I often fall in love with her characters. This is the second book in the Mercury Pack series which is a spin-off from the Phoenix Pack series, there is an ongoing storyline and character crossovers so I would recommend reading both, and in order.

Force of Temptation, while being a good book, reminded me of Carnal Secrets. In the sense that something just felt missing from the book. Whether it's because there wasn' ...more

Good, fun smuttery. The villain arc was a little ... overly simplistic. But we're not really reading this stuff for that, are we girls?

I don't mean to blow off the need for a good plot. Of course that's paramount to me. And this one plays - it's not badly done or nonsense. It's just a little more superficial than in some of Wright's other books. And that's okay, because for me at least, this series is just brain candy. Harley Vincent & Jesse Dalton

The way the pack treated Harley when she first came was too similar to the first book and I'm a bit sick of the older females in the pack acting like idiots towards the new arrival. Stick a sock in it.

This one was pretty good overall. It just didn't have the action and some of the other elements I've grown used to in this world.

I think I would have given it a star back if Harley had actually came in contact with her true mate, but still chose Jesse. ...more
