I got this series because I really liked the Black Magician Trilogy, which I read a year or two ago. This seemed uneven. Sometimes I wanted to just stop reading it, other parts held me.
I still can't decide, it didn't have the same feel. The story rambled, characters appeared that I don't think I saw again, good was evil, evil was good, it felt like the author wasn't convinced either.
