Like Jane Yellowrock, Nell Ingram is a complicated heroine. I love that each book gives us more about her as she discovers more about herself. Her tumble into the "Townie" world is giving her courage and strength to stand up to, and for, whatever is the right thing to do. Her lack of awareness of things that we all take for granted, (like the concept of dating), complicate her life. Long gone is the "Widder Woman", in her place is a competent investigator. Shelves: urban-fantasy, kindle

This continues to be a strong spin off from the Jane Yellowrock world. Nell's powers are so unique and you learn some more about them here (she does too). I totally enjoy that part of these books. I like her interactions with PsyLED and the case investigations. I also enjoy her start and stop flirtations with Occum. What I don't enjoy as much is the cult/church stuff. I know it's her family but Nell is a lot more forgiving of that situation than I would be, so any time she visits I really just w ...more
