I love history, especially WW2, so I just had to pick this book. I am glad I did because it had me hooked from page one. What I liked about the book is the author Ryan Graudin didn't sugarcoat anything nor romanticize what happened like a lot of people seem to do. Yael, a former death camp prisoner is the main character of the book and I felt like I was right along side with her. Ryan's writing had me on the edge of my sit wanting no needing more. The pacing was a little slow for my taste, especially through the first third, but toward the end it really picked up. Loved the concept and can't wait to read the sequel.
