4-4.5 stars - Paranormal/Vampire Romance

I really enjoyed this installment, especially the parts that focused on one of my all-time favorite romantic couples, Rhage and Mary, and the scenes with Lassiter.

There's a new romance between the BDB trainee/fighter Axe and the aristocrat Elise, but it's largely a continuation of Rhage, Mary, and Bitty's story from The Beast. ...more

This was an amazing installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world. While this is an offshoot of the original series, there was plenty going on with the brothers...especially Rhage and Mary. Axe’s and Elise’s story and Rhage’s and Mary’s story blended really well together. Both were full of love and angst...I laughed with them, I cried with them. Rhage and Mary are one of my favorite couples and I have very much enjoyed being able to spend so much time with them in the past couple of books. A ...more
