This is re-read for me and the end still left me speechless. Still have the same questions as my original review.
Vikas Adam is a STAR as the narrator. How he could do as many voices and so well done that you totally forget that it's ONE guy doing them all, it's beyond me. I can hear one word and immediately know if it's nice Julius, menacing Ghost, tough guy Justin, crazy Bob, conniving Bethesda, etc.

4.5 stars. The stakes are getting a lot higher in book 3. It's a really long book but very easy to read and full of action. After Julius defeated Bethesda, it turns out getting a dragon council up and running is harder than expected.
What I enjoyed:
* It was nice to see some of the dragons rally around Julius.
* Dragon politics were interesting as always. The election with many trying to take out Julius (view spoiler)

Without spoilers I'll just say that the ending was more of a downer than I was expecting and more than I really wanted right now. That said, the book was still fun and fast paced with lots of political intrigue. I'm hopeful that some things will be rectified in the next book.
