This is the story of Cora, a woman who wakes up in a fantasy world in her "twin"'s place, where she can understand what birds are saying and before she can grasp the fact that she's not dreaming, she has unwillingly started a curse that affects the whole land.

Noctorno, Tor for short, is the other Cora's estranged husband and he's furious by what he believes is her latest in a very long list of selfish acts. He hates the other Cora and no matter how much this Cora tries, she cannot convince him t

Not as good as Book 2 but still good. Lahn, I believe, will be pretty unbeatable.

Valentine, Valentine, Valentine. What are you up to? That very last scene at the epilogue had me LOL. I cant wait to see whats g0ing to happen next and I love and hate the suspense.

I quite enjoyed this one. Cora was our world is switched with her twin. Her twin is not a nice person and is married to Tor. You have Tor trying to deal with the new, improved Cora...thinking she's playing a game while simultaneously being charmed by her. I liked them together. The political intrigues that have been part of the previous stories continue. I'm now in deep and will have to finish this series. ...more

Thanks to a bout of insomnia I read this book in one night. I didn't fall head over heels in love with it like I did with The golden dynasty, but I did enjoy the banter in the first half of the book. I am pleasantly surprised at this series Kristen has written. Something a little different from the normal vampire and your usual paranormal subjects. ...more
