“Circe,” he called and my eyes slid back. Then he shared gently, “There has been only one moment in my life when I have been happier than I am in this one and that was sharing the beauty your magic created while you told me you loved me.”
Drumroll to my first five star read of the year! And it was fucking fantastic! This would be my second Kristen Ashley book and I must say my first experience with her wasn't very good, but I had stumbled upon this book in the Goodreads Listotopia Lists a ...more

I think I'm in love.
Those of you who watched Game Of Thrones, this is like Kahl Drogo and Daenerys's story. Those were my fav. parts in the whole series by the way.
Anyways, I don't know about the girl, but Lahn is described exactly like Kahl Drogo. And I just couldn't get enough of him while watching GOT, so reading this books makes me a really REALLY happy camper!
It's similar even down to the talking to the animal thing, only here she can understand a white tiger while in GOT she was the mother ...more

And I'm curious to learn what happens to parallel universe Circe.

Wow. I wish this book would have gone on longer! I absolutely fell in love with this book. I was so upset when it was over. You know you found a good book when you think about it as you go through your day. Now I have this overwhelming urge to read game of thrones, even though I know it won't be nearly as sweet as a Kristen Ashley book. I enjoyed Wilder immensely but didn't think I would like Golden Dynasty because of the whole primitive, warrior thing. But I could absolutely picture everything

I read this book not knowing what I was going to say once I got done. There were things in this book I just couldn't get past, and no amount of It's their way would ever be enough, but that only took away one star.
Everything else was pretty fantastic. How do you reconcile the things that you don't like (and actually loathe), with the rest of the book that you absolutely love.
