This was started several times, and thrown under the coffee table just as many times. This just didn't hold the appeal as the first book did. I was really irked by Adam's behavior, and I really don't like the direction he is taking.
Ronan had marginal growth, but still can't relate to his situation.

That's all for now, until later.
Ta-ta for now!

I very much enjoyed reading this book. I will admit at the beginning it took a little pushing through to finally get into it, but the second I did I couldn't put it down for the life of me. The second the plot started to flow I needed to follow till the end. The ending! The writing style of Maggie Stiefvater is everything I look for in an author in more. Her writing style is one that is unique, but doesn't come off with the air of trying too hard or being pretentious. The plot itself is done so ...more

So objectively this book had excellent writing and character development. But subjectively, it seemed to drag on a little bit. Quick-look at the Book

Thoughts on this Book

There's something to be said about a book you've read in the past, and all you can remember about it is how frustratingly slow things happened, and that the humor was good.

Thoughts on the Series

OMG These books!
They are so beautiful and tragic at the same time. Everything is magical and trapped in time, in a moment, so lovely and full of love, not just romantic love, but family love, fraternal love, friendship love that the fact that you know it's only a moment feels tragic.
This being Ronan's book it might amp up on the tortured tragic heroes side of the books, but there is still laughs and humor and Virginia is described in such poetic prose it feels magical all in itself.
