If you like epic fantasy, be careful with Sanderson. He'll ruin you for any other epic fantasy and he takes YEARS to write books.
Warning given, proceed at your own risk, that way lay dragons, etc... This book is AMAZING.
It is first of all, as EPIC as you can get. And it's about the fate of the world and about bad odds and final sacrifice.
I liked the small scale of things in the first book, and its sense of humour. I like the fuck-upedness of the second book and how Sanderson ever so subtly put ...more

This book was so hard to read. Much harder to review. And the events that lead to the end? Glorious and heartbreaking.This series was magnificent. One of the best epic fantasy out there.........
I'm actually glad its over. It was hard to read because I felt one of them is going to die. I'm glad they both did. Their deaths made everything bittersweet. ...more

Parts of this were a slog, but I wound up enjoying it -- Sanderson puts enough twists and turns in there to make it interesting.
