I have been in a real reading slump recently - nothing has taken my fancy or kept my interest long enough to actually get it finished. So when I went back to my audio of Golden Son, which, for some reason, I had put aside, I wasn't feeling hopeful. 3.5 stars. Too much politics and war so that's why I started listening to this series. The characters are so interesting and it was gripping to watch their plan unfold.

There are so many characters to keep track of and I don't always remember who were good guys and bad guys in the earlier books. It would've helped to have a list of the characters and their alliances and houses, but since I listened to this, it might be there and I just didn't know. ...more
