Not too happy about this...this better have all been a nightmare that Darrow has been subject to of late, especially when he is on the outs with Virginia.
Hats off to the author for getting straight down to business...but more helpful reminders of these random characters and their back story would have been helpful. It was full of action and betrayal...I will give you that! I really don't like shock value plot twists...they just are not for me...

4.5 stars. The first book was like the Hunger Games and this second installment reminds me of Game of Thrones, with much more political intrigue and a high body count. Darrow makes some big mistakes and reveals his hand, for which his friends end up paying – and that ending! Will definitely read the third book sooner rather than later.
