Pretty decent fantasy romp. Nothing ground breaking nor a literary work of genius, but totally adequate for what it set out to do. I'm interested enough to check out the other books set in this world.

Good book just not in the mood. Will try again later.
After the disappointment I felt with the Shadow and Bone trilogy, I wasn't sure about reading this duology. But of course, the Netflix show then came out, and I became obsessed with Inej, and with Nina and Matthias (Nina+Matthias 4eva!). So, I read the book. It took me a second to realize that the book took place two years after the events of Ruin and Rising, but once I did, I got absolutely hooked!
