I have very mixed feelings about this book.
First off, it's a sad and frightening tale of one woman who is doomed from the beginning of her life to never truly find happiness. It's so tragic on all levels. It's very gothic in that regard, and I loved it! Gimme tragedy!
But where I'm a little "eh" is that I loved the mystery of the Creepy Clown Lady. I loved not knowing who she was or what she was even up to. It added a serious creep factor that sank into my bones whenever she appeared. Now that I ...more
