It took me a little while to get into Red Fox. I'm glad I was already invested in Perry and Dex, so I hung on until I was firmly hooked on Karina's killer writing. I really loved the story and the setting. There were some genuinely terrifying moments (the attempted rape scene...ugh)and the monsters were truly scary. As for the new characters in the mix, I loved Bird, but leery of Maximus.

Another really great read! I loved the character developments with Perry and Dex (especially Dex); I feel like we got to know them so much better in this one. The characters introduced in this installment of the series were very interesting (some of them creepy); Maximus was my favorite -- the big cajun ginger :) -- I hope we get to see more of him later on. I really enjoyed the action and the mentions of the Navajo Myths. Their assignment was definitely interesting. I can't wait to see what the next case will involve and also to learn more about Dex and Perry. ...more
