Erin Kellison has created an interesting world in which Revelers (dream walkers) can enter Rêve (shared dreams). Initially, I found the story to be a bit confusing. It's a short book (~ 120p), so I expected things to be made clearer sooner. Words were used to describe the world and the characters, but there was no explanation for the words, if that makes sense. Once I had a better understanding of the world, the story moved rather quickly and I enjoyed the ride.

This isn't an 'official' review because I was involved in the editing of this novella. But if you've read any of my reviews of Erin Kellison's work you know I am a big fangirl of all of her Shadow books. Also, I think she is one of the best novella writers out there. She gives a full novel experience in every one of her novellas with the perfect mix of PNR and UF.

Darkness Falls is the first in the brand new Reveler series from Erin Kellison and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I tend to enjoy paranormal tales with a slightly darker take and I believe this series might be right up my alley!
