Guardians of Eternity series and our first Guardian is Dante, a vamp, who has been bespelled to be the Guardian of the Phoenix, a goddess residing in Selena for the past 400 years. Luckily for Dante, Selena tries a spell to wipe out all demons, and the Phoenix doesn't like it so wipes out Selena. Unluckily for Dante, our heroine, Abby, Selena's companion of the last few months, appears at the scene so the Phoenix transfers to her and Dante is forced to protect her.

Quite a nice read, but read just after a GREAT book... It didn't have as much depth, and the character development left some unanswered questions...thought they came together faster than seemed believable. Still, a nice one, and will pick up others in the series, eventually.
