Both lovely and enthralling, this book was the perfect blend of epic fantasy and fairytale. The characters are compelling, and one reminded me very much of My Fair Lady's Henry Higgins. WIN. ...more

I have never read anything like this book. The uniqueness of it is an easy 5 stars. It took to reading the end of Chapter 5 to take me to being mildly curious to suddenly interesting.

The book is about magic and witches and princes and thrones and more. The best part i think is the villain, known as The Wood.

The Wood seems to be an entirety and not manipulated by anybody. Its history was unknown until it was revealed at the last chapter. The Wood at first glance, takes root in people. When a pe ...more

Just finished this. Absolutely my favorite fantasy novel in years. Loved that romance was there but wasn't a main focus. Loved the take on Beauty and the Beast with a much improved heroine. The characters are flawed and beautiful and complicated. Fantastic book. ...more
