Both lovely and enthralling, this book was the perfect blend of epic fantasy and fairytale. The characters are compelling, and one reminded me very much of My Fair Lady's Henry Higgins. WIN.

I wanted to like it...I REALLY wanted to like it. The main male character was just so unlikable! The romance was not believable. It just didn't make sense. It was good writing, but I found myself skipping ahead a lot. It wasn't bad...it just wasn't all that good either...sad...

I'm doing the audiobook only this time around and love the narration. It's nice to hear a non-American or -British accent and I feel that it adds to the story.
