Shelves: magic, paranormal, ya

Great start to a new series by Estep.

What I enjoyed:
* Lila - she's had a tough life but manages to stay mostly good (she is a thief after all). Watching her struggle not to get invested in the people she is now around.
* Devon - he is almost too good to be true. Everyone likes him. He has a bit of a tortured past/present. He worries about others over himself. He is the heir to a powerful family. But you still can't help but like him.
* Felix and Mo - the two talk-a-holics are fun in their own ways ...more

Excellent ya book a confident and in control thief turned bodyguard works her magic one day at a time trying to keep herself safe from the knifes aimed at her body and her heart under control.
