I burned myself out on this series after book 4, and found that I had to take a break before reading this installment.
Now that I've actually started reading it a third time and finally gotten into it; I'm enjoying it greatly. Just about all of my questions from the previous 4 books have been answered in the first third of the book. It might be a while before I can afford or wait for the next book. I really should pace myself when I get these books! I think I read each one faster than the previous one. Now, the wait begins.....

I don't honestly even know what to say. This series... no words. It is fantastic. Super emotional, but utterly riveting.

Kara's story continues right where it left off, but this part is quite different from the ones preceeding it. Kara is in the demon realm, where not everything is as it seems and she's in way over her head.

She is right in the middle of the demon lords' schemes and she realizes that her education is sorely lacking, which puts her at a huge disadvantage. The fact that (view spoiler) ...more

Wow, I hated the last book, but this one was amazing! And will be a real shocker for some. (No, I'm not even going to hide anything as a spoiler.) Although the ending made it clear there is another book to come (and 4 more actually according to Ms. Rowland's blog), at least it didn't end like a kiddie book demanding that you get the next one or you'll never know something or other. You know something, just not why, how, when etc.
