As is my way, I don't like to give a summary of the book, everyone else already has. I will just give you my take on it.
This book is fast paced and pulls you into the story quite quickly. As a first in a new series, world building is always an issue. Sometimes there is too much, sometimes not enough. It was a decent kickoff to a series, though there wasn't anything particularly unique or surprising. I don't particularly care for the guy clearly being set up as the love interest, though (O'Shea). But I'm in the mood for UF, and this is a fun, fast read, so I'll plug along and see how it plays out.

Creative, interesting, and lots of action. Not hospital moments but I think it beater this way, as much as I’m loathe to admit it. Love the unique, positive characters, such as a harpy. I love Alex, although it’s confusing how idiotic he sounds. A little instalovey but mostly okay. A seemingly impossible solution worked well, although the solution was a little too late and simple.
