Thanatos is one of my favorite kinds of heroes. He wants a realtionship. He wants childern. He wants love.

Sadly, he gets really screwed over and is used as a means to an ends in the previous book in the series but this book is all about making his HEA possible.

Ione does an amazing job in this book with the heroine. Regan did something pretty awful in rhe previous book and gasp plans on giving her baby away.

Through this love story, we see Regan fully and love her as Thanatos does. I love Thant

Please Note: I read the ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of this book, therefore, there may be some discrepancies between what I quote and the final version. Assume any and all errors are mine because they probably are.

The Prophecy:
Behold! Innocence is Death's curse, his hunger his burden, a blade his Deliverance. The Doom Star cometh if the cry fails.

I like this book a lot. I haven't read the other two books in this series, but I have read Larissa's books that are set in this same world. I think it the Demonica series. Those were all really good. I got this title through NetGalley and I am glad that I did. I loved Than. It very rare that you find a man or being as virile as he is innocent in the sex department. That alone endeared him to me and the fact that you could tell that he loved Regan even when he claimed to want to kill her. I will ...more

As I read this book I kept thinking Thanatos may be my favorite horseman. I loved how Ms. Ione wrote his character to be the jilted pissed off deadly horseman, that was used to save the world from the Apocalypse. Just about everyone in this story has their hands in preventing or causing the Apocalypse, and the Aegis has decided to strike while the iron is hot to prevent the destruction of the world. Their interpretation of how to stop the Apocalypse is to make Than a father. Demon-slayer Regan i ...more

I wasn’t so sure about this book since I’m wasn’t a big fan of Regan in the last book. But she grew on me and in the end I really like her. Thanatos has been my favorite Horseman since the start. As Death, he could be so cruel and not give a hoot about anyone, but he does care and it makes for an interesting and complex character. He spent a bit too much time being a jerk to Regan, but I appreciated how they both began to see their shortcomings and their strengths, and helped each other be bette ...more
