I didn't love the book, but I didn't hate it either. Owl didn't really do it for me like a heroine should. She was a bit two-dimensional, while some of the other characters (Oricho and Nadya) stood out.
It didn't help that in the first chapter she says that she took a Japanese artifact out from under a team of archaeologists working on the Terracotta Warrior site. Why did that bother me? The Terracotta warriors are CHINESE! What's an artifact from Japan doing in China? Since it was never explain ...more
