I read all the stories apart from Samuels and Ariana. I still can't drum up enough interest in their too convenient and quick pairing. Maybe later. Every other tale in this collection was engaging and thoughtful and added something to the Mercyverse experience.

I have yet to read anything by Patricia Briggs that I did not absolutely adore. The same holds true here.
Shifting Shadows is a compilation of all the stories in Mercyverse and has four new stories as well. Some of them can be read as standalone. In fact, I believe in a way, almost all of them can be read as standalones - but they just feel so right when you're aware of the series as a whole.
