Boy, I sure am reading this series out of order. First, Obsidian and next Moon. I admit to being drawn to the series by the cover. I'm not even into that too-buff body type, but have to admit it was eye-catching. Next, I think I'll go back to the beginning and read Fury. I really enjoyed the tension between Moon and Joy. Plus, I appreciated everything she was willing to give up for Moon. I realize its the last book in the series for now, but it will be nice to have the global set up of who al ...more

First paragraph: The past
Day 159 after the first New Species were freed
Joy tried to relax in the chair but worry over her client made her fidget. She glanced at the clock, noting he was late again. Minutes ticked by while her anger grew. It was the fourth session in a row that 466 had blown off. He did it on purpose. She knew he was going to be irate over what she’d done in retaliation but he’d left her with no choice.

This was a fasted paced romance that varies nicely from the ususal plot of the New Species as the conflict is more internal between the couple than external.
Moon is a great hero even though he is feral for a part of the novel. Joy is clear about her feelings and willing to do anything for Moon.
I get a little tired of the dumb humans that work at Homeland. They are very flat characters and not so interesting. I could do without them.
