Three stars is what I think of Dune now. When I first picked it up early in my adolescence, the rating would've probably been more like seven stars. It's funny to watch relationships with books change -- there was time when I read through the entire Dune series at least once a year. The last time I tried, though, I realized the love wasn't there any more. Still, we had a good long run, Dune and I, and remember it fondly. ...more
