Not the greatest book for me. It took me forever to finish it, the female character seemed so dumb at times, I would get frustrated and stop reading for a while.

Faythe is one of only eight Tabbies in the country and now they have started to go missing. After she is attacked on campus she returns to the Pride but in characteristic fashion refuses to just do as she is told. Once returned she is also confronted with dealing with her ex-boyfriend Marc, more unfinished business.
Faythe can be a challenging character to like at times, she is strong, determined and can seem a little immature at times but comes to take on her responsibilities and matures nicely ...more

Faythe is an incredibly human character despite the fact she is a werecat. I laughed out loud on several occasions. Faythe is struggling desperately for independence. She however understands the people who will be in jeopardy if she runs. She makes plenty of mistakes, and has her share of flaws you except her anyway. This book spends a lot of time introducing you the residents of the Lazy S Ranch. The character development is spaced out nicely, and you in my opinion can see the ranch when you cl

Series Review! {Series Rating - 4 & 1/2 Stars}
I have to admit that I feel in love with this series from page one and it has been a solid relationship between me and Faythe’s world ever since.
Fayther is a werecat and when we meet her in Stray, she has left her fiancé and her life in her Pride behind in pursuit of living a normal life as a college student and not have to deal with the pressure of being one of the few Tabbys {female werecat} in the United States and having to get married and have b ...more

May have slight spoilers.
In author Rachel Vincent’s first Shifters novel, Stray, we meet Faythe, the only daughter of a Pride Alpha. Not only that but she is one of only eight tabbies—female werecat’s—left which makes her special to all of the werecat’s as they can not breed with humans—or rather do not, I suppose.
Faythe is having none of it of course, she does not want to get married much less have kids! So for the last five years she has been off at collage getting her degree and having a lif ...more

Yes! I have finally done it. Actually, I have finally done two things! One, I have finally read a Rachel Vincent book. And two, I have finally read the first book in her ‘crazy popular among my friends’ Shifters series. At last I have met Faythe and company and I must say I really enjoyed them.
Faythe is currently attending school and to her, that is the most important thing in the world. She is a feline shifter and one of the last remaining females. If th ...more
