Phury is my least favourite member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I do feel that his actions are noble, such as: Taking the vow of celibacy to strengthen his character to not be deterred from finding his twin (Zsadist) [although I do think it would make more sense if his vow of celibacy had more to do with Zsadist's confinement as a blood and sex slave], shooting off his lower leg to save both himself and Zsadist, shaving his head and scarring his face to look like Zsadist in order to imperson

I was excited to read the next in the series but was actually a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, It was still a great story but not as good as the rest. Phury became the Primale of the Chosen to help repopulate the Brotherhood's line. There's a little issue with this though, he is basically still a virgin. The story of Phury and Cormia.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this book. I had heard that it was the weakest of the series - and on some accounts, it is. I didn't begin to care about Phury and Cormia as a couple until the last part of the book. And by last part, I mean, literally, the last 5 or so chapters. There was SOOO much that went on in this book that didn't involve them, I felt like they were almost a side story.
But, that being said, I didn't *hate* the book. I simply would have like ...more

This book has it all in a big way.
Phury and Cormia the the whole change of the hundrend year old tradition of the Primale and his Chosen.
The Brotherhood and the return of Tohr.
John-Xhex and Qhuinn-Blay those two couples take the whole tension building to a new level. Passion, passion and more sizzling passion on the way!
The raids of the Lessening society to Havers clinic and to the aristocrat’s homes, and most of all Lash and his loving father the Omega!!!!
Even the Scribe Virgin and Payne make ...more
