Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine and this book is completely perfect. It had everything: hilarious moments that made me laugh out loud, sad scenes to think about, and just a hunch of romance. Eleanor is the type of person that most people would call “weird” because she speaks her mind around other people and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. You will fall in love with her character so quickly and the more you read about her and her past, the more you understand why she is the woman she is today. Be ...more

Premise: Eleanor Oliphant is a perfectly normal, lonely individual. When she meets Raymond, she starts breaking out of her comfort zone and discovering things about her past that change her life forever.

My Rating: 4.5 Stars

I loved this book, finished it in 2 days. The author somehow made the book humorous and serious at the same time. I loved Eleanor's character and was rooting for her from the beginning! I also loved Raymond, everyone needs a Raymond. This book was worth the read. ...more

This book took me by complete surprise. I am a BOTM member and everyone raved it was a must read. I have to say that I whole heartedly agree.
Eleanor’s character is awkward, hilarious, unabashedly honest, and absolutely not “completely fine.”

This book wrecks you and picks back up the pieces several times. You will laugh out loud, and cry in public. This has all the feels in the best way possible. It’s a story of survivorship, friendship, healing, depression, loneliness, and human connection. Thi

WOW. Just finished this book and it left me both crying and smiling ear to ear. As I write, I'm still grinning and my eyes are still watery. Eleanor is weird and goofy and off and in the end, I was absolutely in love with her. Honeymoon has written a phenomenal story with tons of heart and I know I will be revisiting this book again and again. I'd say it's one of the best books I read this year. The hype around this novel is worth it, let me tell you! ...more
