"Everything is a game, Em. Whether you know it or not. Which means that sometimes a lie is more than just a lie. Sometimes it's the only way to win."
This was a great mystery! 15 years ago, Emma was at stay-away camp for the summer - 6 total weeks. People called it "Rich B*#%" Camp because it was expensive and exclusive - full of kids from a private school. Emma is not excited to be there - and to top it off, she shows up late. Because of her late arrival, she is bunked with 3 older girls. They a ...more

This book got better as it went on. I had actually given up on it the first time I tried it because it hadn’t grabbed my interest. I stuck with it this time and it got better. I had guessed the ending but another part of the mystery was a surprise. I’m glad I gave this another chance. I’m looking forward to the third book by this author.

This was one of the best mystery/thrillers I have read in a long time. I never guessed what was coming! Great job, Riley Sager!

I absolutely LOVED this book.
I picked it as one of my books in the July Book of the Month box and I do not regret it one bit.
I really enjoyed Sager's Final Girls but this one, IMO, was even better.

I liked that the narrator was unpredictable, you had no idea whether it was her, was it someone else, what exactly was going on. Everyone seemed suspect but was she ju ...more

WOW!!! Slow at first (or maybe it was because I would always pick it up at the end of the day). It really got rolling, and I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I did NOT see many of the things coming. When I finished it, I reflected back over the story and realized that the author left clues along the way, I just didn’t see them at first. A well crafted read, definitely plot driven. My heart was still racing half an hour after I finished the book! Someone needs to make this a movie NOW!!

Two words can sum up this entire book:
Holy. Shit.
Holy. Shit.

Just when you think it was over, there's another twist!
