What Members Thought
I loved this book. I know some people might dismiss it as commercial fiction but so be it. A story that's funny, sad, uncomfortable, confronting and empathetic is everything a well-told tale should be. I also loved its Britishness; I'm glad nothing was changed to appease an American audience. I was swept away and that's all I ask for in my reading. A disarming book with a memorable narrator. Completely drew me in.
This book truly surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. Surprisingly twisty and I have to say it totally got me :)
I really enjoyed this book, and the characters. It hit me harder than I thought it would. It is a story about growth and change, and about a person’s capacity to cope with what life has dealt you.
