no mystery here- just philosophy and a love story...
Charming! My favourite so far of this particular series. I've never been to Edinburgh but AMS build up such a picture of the streets, the life and the people that I'm sure I'd feel at home if I did. The characters are engaging, no heroes or heroines, just people, warts and all and one cares about their interplay and how they resolve their problems, and a lovely, unexpected end that leaves one wanting to plunge straight into the next book of the series - which I have!
