I really got into this one, the 2nd in the series of "Sunday Philosophy Club" books by Alexander McCall Smith. I was disappointed by the first book of the series, somehow, but I guess in retrospect I was unfairly comparing it to the "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series, and not letting this storyline and its characters speak for themselves. Isabel Dalhousie seems to talk herself in circles. She spends a lot of time rationalizing her actions and desires. I don't think she's completely honest with herself. This book reads a bit like a soap opera with time to wonder ... will she or won't she.
