For some reason, I wasn't quite as enchanted with this latest edition of the #1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Some of the character plots seem to tie up too neatly at the end causing me to wonder if this will be the last we hear of Mma Ramotswe and her beloved Botswana.

I love that I can read an Alexander McCall Smith book and be comfortable knowing what the story will be like. This one surprised me. Character growth, with the same sense of common sense that I so rely on.

book 8 about Mr. J.L.B. Matikoni - one of my fav characters all along.
Another great addition to this series! This one was particularly hilarious and had me laughing most of the way through. I have Number #9 ready to go (and I hope the author goes beyond #10!)
