Alexander McCall Smith has become my Miss Manners, Mma Ramotswe my mentor, and Mma Makutse my guilty pleasure. Sure, the books have a puzzle or two to solve. These books are like a box of candy to me! I look forward to every new addition to the series, wait until it finally shows up on my doorstep, unwrap the box it comes in, admire the artwork on the cover, and then plunge in, not stopping until every morsel is gone (but the best part is these have 0 calories). Thank you, Alexander McCall Smith for every delightful book in this series. Please keep them coming!

Entertaining, but I am not receiving as much joy from these books as I did earlier. The constant repetition of themes like traditionally-built, 97%, etc. have gotten old, I think. I will continue to read the books, but would like to see the characters expand into new areas.

No need to summarize the plot- it is always incidental to the wonderful characters and charming view of their lives and country... great as always.

Another fun read in the series. I love, love, love these books. They take me back to Africa every time I pick one up.
