They say a true fan is one who cannot find fault with that thing they are a fan of - football fans will always love their team, win or lose. I am a fan of Alexander McCall Smith. This series never loses its charm. This is the 9th (and my sister sent the 10th to me, so that one is next to read, I guess!), and Mma Ramotswe and her 'sidekick' Mma Makutsi continue their amusing and heartwarming adventures. The gentleness of the stories is so soothing in this day of chaos and worry in which we live. I have read all of the books in Alexander McCall Smith's Ladies' No. 1 Detective Agency series. I find them simple and sweet and I appreciate Precious Ramatswe's pure outlook on life and her ability to see the best in people. The series either hooks you or not. I have several friends that have read and enjoyed all of these, as well. I tried one of his other series (He's quite prolific), but couldn't get into it. I enjoyed this book. I don't get tired of these characters. I bought HBO just to watch this new show at 8pm on Sunday night! It is a good tv show too.

This is probably the best one, although I really enjoyed "Blue Shoes and Happiness." I wish I could meet Precious and Grace!
