Another lovely recording by narrator Lisette Lecat, the talented native South African who was apparently specifically selected by author Alexander McCall Smith to narrate all recordings of his No. 1 Ladies Detective series. The only less than perfect part of Ms. Lecat's recording is her inability to capture an American accent (one of the characters in this title is American): She overly emphasizes the "rrrr" in American speech with everything else sounding softly South African / British to this

I love this author. He writes the funniest things. I love the perspective on Botswana culture.
I have a feeling I have now found another series that I will have to finish because I am growing very fond of Mma Ramotswe and her "family". She is such a wonderful character and I am very fond of her. I will be reading the remainder of the series, just not all in a row.
