this reminded me so much of my home rural town in Australia, even though it was no where near Botswana, just the mannerisms, expectations and the way things were done. Loved it.
I loved the HBO miniseries so much that I bought this book for my Kindle when it was on sale last week for $1.99. While the stories were familiar from the TV show, they did add more background to the characters. More importantly, the book was so calming. It's like taking a nice long bath with the phone unplugged--a perfect before bed read. I will continue to read the entire series until I reach the last one.

I LOVED THIS AND ALL OF HIS OTHER BOOKS IN THIS SERIES. ALSO LOVE THE ISABEL DALHOUSIE BOOKS AND BERTIE AND SCOTLAND STREET BOOKS.
Fun, easy books to read. Made me want to travel to Africa.
I have read about 20 books by this author. For me it is not so much the story, but the author's clever and witty style and wonderful insight into characters. His books are charming and go perfectly with a cup of tea.

It was fun reading this book about Africa. I enjoyed reading about the culture. I liked the main character.
