What Members Thought
Calling this a mystery might be misleading -- it's a novel in which not much happens and the mystery is incidental to the story. In fact I've read all of the books in this series and nothing much ever happens, but one is so happy to be in Botswana living through the experiences of Mma Ramotswe. A great series to read when you just want to read well, have a good time and armchair travel.

I have listened to this on CD twice now. I think listening to the narrator's accent adds a lot to the setting and characters in the book. I just saw the first of the miniseries, too, and thought it was a hoot!

Read it for summer reading in high school. I thought the dialogue was a bit boring times. However, after seeing the HBO series, I picked up this book again, and enjoyed it much more. I recently introduced my mom to this series, and she loves it too!
