Angie is known as Fat Angie to just about everyone in the school. It's even how she refers to herself. She has many problems: she suffers from anxiety, tried to commit suicide, her sister is MIA, her father and his new family bother her, and her mother constantly demeans her because of her weight.When a new girl comes to the school Angie sees a new part to herself. Unfortunately that leads to more bullying. In the end all the lose ends tie up and we see Angie in a new light.

A little hard to read, but sometimes life is a little hard to live, especially for teens, and certainly for Angie. Right now her supporting cast = 1 perfect, impossible-to-live-up-to GI sister, missing in Afghanistan; 1 absent couldn't-care-less mom; 1 adopted, always-in-trouble, pretty mean big brother; and 1 school full of witnesses to her lowest moment.
