Awesome, awesome book.
I eventually removed Delirium's favorite, it's true, and so I'm going to be extra-cautious here and not give one, but man, this book was way better than Delirium.
First of all, the ENDING. I don't want to say too much, because it's SUCH a spoilers, but that is the way YA love stories should be written. Good job Lauren Oliver. Thanks for actually developing your characters.

Pandemonium is a really excellent follow up to Delirium. I don't think it really has any of the problems that normally plague second books in a trilogy - it doesn't feel like one giant set up for the third book. It honestly could almost be a stand-alone novel, with just a tiny bit more background information. It feels totally different from Delirium. Lena has definitely changed and grown up more, but I personally liked that it was so different. It felt new and fresh. Also, the novel shows her tra

I was in disbelief that the character of Alex from the first book is taken down by the regulators in the first book. After all Lana and Alex's effort it was heartbreak into see her lose so much. With the constant shifts from present to past, this was a slightly more complex read, but allows two time frames to simultaneously unfold. Both stories demonstrate the continued growth of Lana's character.
Great ending left me anxious to get into the third book. Again, great characters, old and new.

Pandemonium is very different from Delirium. It reminded me more of the Hunger Games because of the higher level of action. Maybe I don't remember Delirium as well as I thought.
It doesn't really matter though, because I thought Pan was just as awesome as Del.
The book is set up as a back and forth "then" and "now." "Then" was back right after Alex and Lena crossed into the Wilds and how Lena was found by a group of Invalids and nursed back to health and then brought into their community. "Now" is ...more

What an awesome book to start the New Year with. I really enjoyed this book on so many levels. Part adventure, part romance, and part suspense, this book kept me guessing all the way. I think what I liked best was the whole human interaction. Oliver does a great job of creating complex characters who are so real. Looking forward to the conclusion of this trilogy.
This ended up being a pretty good sequel. It was pretty predictable throughout but still pretty gripping. Can't wait for the last one. ...more
What a great book! I think this is my favorite of the series so far. Lots of action and a good plot. There are some pretty predictable things, but that is ok, it doesn't ruin the book because I wanted to see how those things played out once they did happen. I am not sure how I am going to wait for the next book!!
