I loved this book, definitely one of my favorites. The author does a lovely job of not pushing the supernatural element of this book too far, it's more of an imaginative experience than a magical one.

Beautiful, enchanting, enticing, imaginative, alluring, haunting, magical! I could go on and on. While slow to start, The Night Circus ends up a book to remember.
Before I started this book I had heard such wonderful things about it and I couldn't wait to start it. However, it didn't instantly grab me as I wished. There was no doubt that there was beauty to it, but the beginning is very much a set up. But once the book gets going and you get into it, it's hard to turn away!

First, the use of past tense 3rd person POV then switching to 2nd person present tense is a little jarring (and annoying). Besides the switching of POV and tenses, the constant shifts in time can be a little dizzying as well. Eventually it catches up with the reader, in this case me, and becomes a more symphonious piece of work.
