Wow, what an incredible, powerful read! I laughed, I cried. I was overjoyed, disgusted, stunned, excited. I smiled, I frowned. It was truly an amazing roller coaster ride for me. The story itself is very well-developed and the concept of this dystopian future comprised of five factions is interesting, creative, and effective for this book and the many sequels I hope will follow. Divergent is the only other dystopian novel I've read besides Hunger Games. And if you liked Hunger Games, this is a book just for you!

Divergent is set in a setting wherein the citizens of the society are classified according to what kind of life they choose to lead. They are divided into five different factions with each faction dedicated to a certain trait which they believe is the key towards achieving progress and preventing another war.

Hands down this is one of the best books I have ever read. I put this book off for a long time because for some reason or another, I told myself I wasn't really into Dystopian reads.
