THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN POSTPONED BECAUSE IT WAS IN SETH'S BUTT.

But I got it back again. So, yaaaaay.

Uh yeah, I guess I should explain that. Well, so Seth is one out of the few people who actually read my reviews. And he's always like, "Briiigiiid where's your next revieeeeew?" And I'm always like, "UP YOUR BUTT." So, yeah. This review was in Seth's butt for a while.

Now, the actual review. It feels like I read this ages and ages ago. It was like a week ago, actually. But in Brigid-time, that is qu

Hmm. Interesting book. I liked some things about this book more than the Darkest Powers books . . . like, I liked how the entire book was outside. That was way cool. And her powers, or whatever, were cooler than being a Necromancer. The subtle hints to connections (view spoiler) were actually pretty frightening. But I'm excited to see how this series will go! :D ...more

Way to leave me unsure of everyone's ability and unsure of who is going to make it and who isn't. I really like this book, I felt it was a great introduction to the characters and plot. I can not wait for the next one. And after reading the review by other and hearing about the connections I am going to have to put the Darkest Power trilogy on my to read list. ...more

What a fantastic read! This is even better than Kelley's Darkest Powers Trilogy (which I greatly enjoyed). Filled with suspense, romance, angst, mystery, action/excitement and elements of a coming of age tale, I was addicted! Certainly a must-read for Kelley Armstrong fans or YA readers looking for a fast paced read with a believable dose of fantasy. ...more

I was really expecting...more from this novel. Which now you might wonder why I gave it a Five out if Five. But that just it. It was a five out of five. It deserved to be and that is why I gave it that much. I kept turning pages, I was mystified and satisfied and happy. It just wasn't what I was thinking it would be. I'm excited for the next. ...more

I really enjoyed this audiobook! I loved the setting of Vancouver Island forest, and how Kelley Armstrong incorporated Native American folklore. This book ended with many unanswered questions, and I'm looking forward to reading (or listening to) The Calling (Darkness Rising #2)!

I liked this book, but I thought it was a little too much like Twilight in many parts. I still plan on reading the rest of the series when it comes out.
